| Fish- including canned tuna, all you want. Chicken- all you want. White is better but, personally, I only like dark meat. Pork- once a week is ok. Bacon once a week (unless its turkey bacon, then twice a week) Beef- if its extremely lean, 3x a week. If fatty, 1x per week. Turkey- same as chicken Sweet potato- ½ potato per serving, 2x a week Broccoli or asparagus or spinach- 1 cup, 1x a day Salad- 1 cup, 2x per day (oil and vinegar dressing) Oatmeal- instant is ok. 1x a day Sweetners- 1 splenda per day. Stevia, as much as you want. Whole grain rice- 1/2 cup per day Low carb protein shake- 1 or 2 per day IF you're still hungry. Acceptable foods on the keto (low carb) diet (Atkins and South Beach are keto diets or closely related): All Fish: Tuna, Samon, Sole, Trout, Flounder, Sardines, Herring, Anchovies All Meat: Beef, Pork, Lamb, Veal, Venison, Ham*, Bacon* All Fowl: Chicken, Turkey, Duck, Goose, Cornish Hen, Quail, Pheasant All Shellfish: Oysters, Crabmeat, Shrimp, Lobster, Clams, Squid, Mussels All Eggs: Scrambled, Fried, Poached, Deviled, Hard-boiled, Soft-boiled, Omelets |

*Processed meats, such as ham, bacon, pepperoni, salami, hot dogs and other luncheon meats may have added sugar and will contribute carbs. Try to avoid meat and fish products cured with nitrates. There is plenty of other things you can eat, this is just a starter list. Snacks are just going to have carbs. Its better for you to have 3 chicken breasts, 1 pce of fish, lunchmeat, salad and oatmealrather than have a snack. |
